SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect wins IoT Breakthrough Award
13th January 2020
Sure Petcare has won an IoT Breakthrough Award for the second year running, this time for the SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect in the Connected Pet Care Solution of the Year category.
Last year, the SureFlap Microchip Cat Door Connect took home an award in this category. We are thrilled to have won two awards in consecutive years, as we are told this is a rare occurrence in this awards programme. Both products link to the Sure Petcare app to give pet owners real-time updates on their pet’s activity and feeding behaviours.
Over 3,700 nominations for the IoT Breakthrough Awards came from all over the world, so winning this award is a great achievement. Other winners in this year’s IoT Breakthrough Awards include Cisco, Dell Technologies, GE Appliances, Schneider-Electric, Amazon Ring and Verizon.
January is a great month for the Microchip Pet Feeder Connect, as this month, in addition to the IoT Breakthrough Award win, the product will be featured at CES alongside Sure Petcare’s other award-winning pet products. The Microchip Pet Feeder Connect has been awarded as a 2020 Honoree in the CES Innovation Awards.
The SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect launched in 2019 and was developed following on from the success of the SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder, which we brought to the market in 2014. This new product uses the same microchip-reading technology as its predecessor to stop pets stealing each other’s food, with the addition of app-connectivity.
The Microchip Pet Feeder Connect enables pet owners to keep track of their pet’s feeding behaviours so that they can learn what’s normal for their pet. If anything changes in their pet’s feeding routine, this could be an indication of illness or distress. Noticing these changes early could be key to identifying potential health issues as soon as they occur.
